Scrawlee | Don't just share your app. Let people play it.
Scrawlee is a platform, currently in development, to deploy and share an app or a game in 2 clicks, so that people can try it instantly in their browser and, if they are really interested, install it locally. It is built for apps in general, as long as they can run in a web browser.

The problem Scrawlee solves
Building an app or a game has become extremely fast, notably thanks to AI. Sharing it has not: the usual method is still to publish a GitHub repository whose README contains long and painful installation instructions, and then to promote the result separately on X, often with a recorded video. Visitors have to install the project before they can even try it.
How Scrawlee works
With Scrawlee, you deploy your app or game and share it in 2 clicks. Your post, a Scrawl, shows up in the feed like a video preview of the app. When someone opens it, they can interact with the real running app directly in their browser and test it for themselves, with no repository to clone and no setup to follow. People can also like, star and remix a Scrawl (remixing means making your own version of someone else's project, similar to forking a repository on GitHub). If the app really interests them, they can then install it locally.
What Scrawlee is for, and what it is not
Scrawlee is made to let people test an app quickly. It is not designed for professional or production deployment of apps.
What you can share
Apps in general, as long as they can run in a web browser: games, creative experiments, utilities and tools. Scrawlee is not only for games, and not only for apps made with AI.
Scrawlee compared with the usual way of sharing
- GitHub repository and README: shares source code; the visitor must install and configure before trying. Scrawlee: the visitor opens a link and tries the app immediately, and installs it locally only if they want to keep it.
- Separate promo post or video on X: the demo is disconnected from the app. Scrawlee: the preview in the feed and the playable app are the same Scrawl.
Who it is for
Anyone who builds apps or games, with or without AI, and wants people to try them without friction, and everyone who wants to try them. Users are called Scrawlees.
About this page
This page is a temporary work in progress page. Its animation loops through four steps: code being written in an editor, a data dashboard being built, a small game being played, and the finished app published as a Scrawl in the feed that people can like, star and remix.
Frequently asked questions
- What is Scrawlee?
- Scrawlee is a platform, currently in development, to deploy and share an app or a game in 2 clicks so that anyone can try it instantly in a web browser. It targets everything that can run in a browser.
- What problem does Scrawlee solve?
- Building an app or a game has become very fast, notably thanks to AI, but sharing it still follows the old method: publishing a GitHub repository with a long README full of installation steps, then promoting the result separately on X. People have to install a project before they can even judge it. Scrawlee lets them try the app right away in the browser instead.
- Is Scrawlee a hosting platform for professional or production apps?
- No. Scrawlee is not meant for professional app deployment. It lets people quickly test your app; if they are really interested, they can then install it locally.
- What can I share on Scrawlee?
- Apps in general, as long as they can run in a web browser: games (for example 3D games built with three.js), creative experiments, utilities and tools. Scrawlee is not limited to games, nor to apps made with AI.
- What is a Scrawl?
- A Scrawl is a post on Scrawlee. In the feed it appears like a short video preview of the app; when opened, visitors can interact with the real, running app and test it for themselves.
- Can I like, star or remix a project?
- Yes. On Scrawlee you can like, star and remix a project. Remixing lets you make your own version of someone else's project, similar to forking a repository on GitHub.
- How is Scrawlee different from sharing a GitHub repository?
- A GitHub repository shares source code, so a visitor has to clone it, install dependencies and follow setup instructions before seeing anything. On Scrawlee, a visitor opens the Scrawl and tries the app immediately in the browser, with nothing to install; installing it locally only comes later, if they want to keep using it.
- Do I still need to post a video on X to promote my app?
- No. A Scrawl already shows the app in motion in the feed and can be opened and played, so the demo and the app are the same thing.
- Who is Scrawlee for?
- Anyone who builds apps or games, with or without AI, and wants people to try them without friction, and everyone who wants to try them. Users of the platform are called Scrawlees.
- Is Scrawlee available yet, and where can I follow it?
- Scrawlee is a work in progress and no public launch date has been announced. Updates are posted on X at @Scrawlee_ and under the username @Scrawlee on GitHub, Bluesky, TikTok and YouTube, as well as on https://scrawlee.com/.
